IPOD DISASTER. Need your help!
My IPOD won't turn on. It won't reset. My computer won't read it. It is dead.
Any advice?
Also, if I have to get it repaired, can I take it into an Apple store. I'm right near the Apple store in NY and would love to bring it there instead of mailing it out?

I tried everything on that page. I tried to update, but the comp reads that my IPOD is not connected. I'm really dumbfounded over this. It was working one minute then dead the next.

You can bring an iPod into any brick&mortar Apple store for repair..... it would be of great help to you if you bring the purchase receipt (or if you don't have that, some indication, such as Apple online registration confirmation, of the date of purchase). They can just check it out (without repair) to see if that's what it needs or if they can reset it themselves...... you may have to wait as they get very busy.
