I never have had this problem with all my months of owning my 4th gen ipod. Is this bad and if so, how do I fix it?

That doesn't look too good. Wait for someone that knows a lot about the iPod or iTunes, they probably know. Also do you have a playlist for every album on your iPod and if not what are those playlists under your iPod?

Yeah, I have a playlist for all my albums (its like seeing all my cds when I go though which album I want to listen to, instead of bothering with the whole artist look up).

wow, that is bad. Somehow you got all those 311 songs, that sucks. ;)

seriously though, i would back up all the music folders first.
uninstall iTunes and then install the newest iTunes

If it doesn't find your original music folder, use your backup files to rebuild your collection.

PS: I'm kidding about the 311 comment, I would have said that no matter what artist was diplayed in the window.

Cool thanks for the feed back yall, I seem to have fixed it after I reinstalled (I trhink). I don't get that crappy error sign when I plug my ipod into my comp.
