Let's go through this again! I bought a brand new Ipod. U2 special edition 20 gb. I am running Windows XP Home Edition service pack 2. I am using usb 2.0, the same port that I use with all my other mp3 usb 2.0 players and they ALL work fine.

YES!! I am installed the software for it to anyone who asks. Downloaded the latest Ipod updater a couple of days ago. I tried resetting it once and twice bu to no avail.

The problem? Well my ipod updater doesnt flat out work. When it does do somethig it keeps saying that it cant mount my ipod. My ipod doesnt show up in Itunes 4.7 at all and it tells me its not connected. It DOES show up as a drive in windows, it is drive "F" that much it does do but other than that nothing else will work or respond. And this is right out of the box. Why is this such a different story than my other mp3 players? WHY!!!? I have NO idea This is a VERY expensive paperweight. PLEASE!!! Anyone with any DECENT suggestions/clues what have you, hopefully ANSWERS please advise me here. I'm begginning to be REALLY sorry that I joined the Ipod owners club. I should have stuck with my Iriver and saved the money. But I had to have one.
