I dont think I charged it right

hey guys. i just bought this wonderful gadget a couple days ago. i charged the badboy as soon as i got home from the apple store. however, i was really ancy so i could'nt wait the 4 hours for it to completely charge so i decided to transfer my songs and play with it a bit. i then charged it back up again. since then, i've been noticing that the battery bar decreases rather quickly. is it imperative to completely charge the battery the full 4 hours before the first use? any help would be greatly appreciated

Well, you are supposed to, but the iPods are know for their inacurate battery bars, so I wouldn't worry about it too much.

battery meter sucks and is highly inaccurate, don't worry about it.

I've heard of that messing up those kind of batteries, and will mess up the lifespan of it. but yeah, the meter is really inaccurate.
