I plugged in my ipod to upload some new songs from itunes..and then something weird happened...it erased all my previous songs i had on my ipod, and when i try to re-install all the songs but disconnecting it and replugging it in...it says " I-tunes cannot read the contents of the I-pod, use the software updater to restore the ipod factory settings"
I installed the updater, and nothing's working...now i have no songs on my ipod and i can't upolad any songs ont it

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated asap, as i am leaving on a rather long trip home tomorrow
