Click wheel.. do your clicks sound the same?

I have a U2 iPod and noticed that the menu 'click' sounds a lot 'deeper' than the fast forward/rewind/play/pause click buttons.

Do all of your clicks sound the same? My menu click almost sounds like pressing into the top of an opened jar of Planter's peanuts. It's almost like a loud 'kerplunk'.

Any feedback is appreciated.

I don't think it's that uncommon, i've heard of lots of problems with the click wheel sounds.

All the clicks on my 3g 20gb ipod sound the same. (just checked) :D

As long as all the buttons work OK then I wouldn't really worry about it too much. Differences in the manufacturing process lead to inconsistencies between units, and the difference in the sound of the clicks might just be something like that.
