Folder corrupted and wont delete

Please choose the appropriate forum for this topic. Thank you. hello all, I've encountered a bit of a problem.

earlier today I enabled my iPod for disk use, and was dragging files to it. however, duing a file transfer, the battery on the ipod ran out. now, I have a directory and file that are corrupted and refuse to delete. the file itself deletes, but comes back if I exit the folder and return. The directory does not do this, it just doesn't delete. has anyone seen this problem before? I'm sure I'm not the only iPod owner this has happened to! Thanks.

certainly. I realized that just as I posted, but hadn't had a chance to answer.

I'm running Windows XP Home and it's a 3rd Gen iPod, 10 GB.

Thanks again.

rabinowitz--

A restore of your iPod with the iPod updater software should fix your problem. Restoring your iPod wipes everything off of the iPod, and reformats the disk to factory settings.

Be aware that a restore will erase everything on your iPod, so you'll have to sync wiht your pc again to get your music back on it.

Hope this helps--

Thanks, dordale. I figured that's what I needed to do, but wanted to make sure there wasn't an easier way. It's been restored and everything's just right. Thanks again.
