How iPod Sorts Songs

I have a live album that I ripped and I have a question about the track order. I want the tracks to play back to back when I sort by album. If I set the track numbers, will iTunes play by track number or do I have to put the songs in some order or something. I don't mind the gap playback but I just want them in the right order from the CD.

If you set the track numbers in order in the Song Info window (right click -> song info) in iTunes, the songs will play in that order on the iPod.
