is there any way to get music from ipod to computer?

hi, i had many music files on my computer. then my computer crashed and i lost all my music files. i have not plugged my ipod back into my computer, because i know that will erase all my music files. is there anyway to get the music from my ipod back onto my computer. any advice would help. thanks.
