Im trying to paint the iPod on m own

I'm not going to pay $50 so colorware can do it. I've painted plenty things, and I know what I am doing, but what I can't figure out is how to cover up the ffw, rw, menu, and play on a 3g. Not the entire button, but just that part that says menu etc...

anyone have any ideas? i was thinking maybe just putting friskit film over the ipod and tracing the ffw and so on, but I'm worried it will not be precise.

That is going to be very hard to do. The way I see it you have options:

1. Cover the whole button
2. Try and do the text, but whatever you do it's not going to look professional.
3. Get Colorware to do it...
4. Don't paint it, be content with signature white! :)

I wonder how Colorware does it. I'll bet that's why they charge $50 lol

I bet it's pretty hard to do nicely. But I hear the results look wonderful!

Does anyone have any ideas? Or possibly might know how to cover up the text on the buttons professionaly?

Yes, they do. They then apply new letters to them...
