i'm new to the ipod scene and was wondering if there's anyway to display the album art on a mono screen ipod?

aswell, the plastic casing on my ipod over the screen seems to have a line going thru the middle, its not a scratch and can only be seen in certain angles. was wondering if this is normal or a mark caused by pressure on the casing above the screen (stress fracture)?
