I've had my iPod for about three months now and really enjoy it, but I find the interface a bit limiting. Don't get me wrong... I've checked out the competition and would take Apple's elegant, simple interface any day over the other options out there.

That said, I would love to see a few enhancements to the current setup. Having an iPod has made me enjoy some music I never really listened to before, which made me come up with this idea...

When playing a song, push the center button. Up comes the scrubber. Press the center button again and you get the star rating. One more press sends you back to the volume bar. I propose adding one more "option" at the end ... where little Music Store icons (or perhaps the iPod arrows) come up next to Title, Artist, and Album allowing you to scroll up to one, select it, and go immediately to the respective menu tree to select or queue up songs from that artist/album/etc.

Even better, on the fourth click the iPod could display a scroll bar and allow you to see all information from the ID3 tags, each with a little arrow allowing you to jump right to that "category."

Anyone else like this idea or have any other enhancements in mind?
