using ipod outside US

hey everyone
i was just wondering how i could charge my ipod if i went out of the country (i live in the US so diff outlets here) i have an adapter but its a small one i was wondering if that would work for the ipod ... would it ruin it? has anyone charged it using a small adapter

The apple iPod charger actually accepts multiple voltages, so you can buy the plug adapter kit from Apple. You can pull out the prongs on your current charger.

hmm does it have to be that apple adapter thing? i have seperate plugs that have regular plus on one end where you'd insert the n.american plug, and another plug on the other end would be the plug of the other continent youre on. you know, like regular plug adapters for regular products. would those work?

You'd definitley need an adapter if you went to Canada. The five pronged models here are something special.

answer: yes that would work
i have a regular european 2 prongs adapter, im now in the UK, im using a generic adapter, euro to UK and it works fine.
