I need the 2004-10-20 updater

Does anyone have this or know where I can get it. The new firmware does not work with ML_iPod for winamp. I hate all the other solutions out there so please don't suggest them to me. Is it just me or does it seem like apple is resorting to Microsoft tactics to force their will? I used to think better of them.

ahh crap. i didnt realize that. apple seems to kick out old versions pretty well. even www.oldversion.com was stripped of hosting past itunes versions...stinkiedmb at 2007-11-15 13:48:13 >

Yea, it's been hard to find old versions for Apple. I've been attempting to track down a version of iTunes 4.5, but to no avail.Edit: Forgot to ask... Are you looking for a Windows or Mac updater?

I did have an older copy in my personal archives that I just tried but it seems that the updater will not update the ipod if the ipod has a version number greater than the updater has. Damn thing. So, what am I to do now? Hmm...hase at 2007-11-15 13:50:18 >

Windows...Is it posible to clear out the ipod entirely so that I can use the updater that I do have?

There is a "hack" that you can do to update it to an older firmware. Actually, it was just mentioned in that thread about applying the graphics hack to the iPod. Check it out here:http://www.ipodlounge.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&postid=362495#post362495
