can you put a cd you own on ipod mini?

i thought i'd heard somewhere that you can download a full cd that you own onto your ipod mini yet when i plug it in the songs dont go onto the ipod.... i just got it and have no idea how to work it so plz help... also is there a cheap place to get songs?

Welcome to the lounge.If you just got the iPod why don't you read the User's Guide that came with it?
Also, you can download a copy of the User's Guide from the Apple site support section located here:

The info you need is on this page. I advise that you read it and download the User's Guide for the mini. It's on the left hand side of the page.

hi.u put ur cd in u like.then on the right hand corner theres a little pic with import underneath jus click that and they import onto ur comp takes around 5 minutes then just update it onto ur i-pod.hope thats helpful
