I only have the 3G iPod and I love the way the new click wheel iPod looks, but my mom won't let me have another one. GRRR What do I do. :( I was thinking about waiting for the new 5G but that will nprobably take forever to come.

Just be grateful you have an iPod. I got my 3G about 2 weeks before the 4G came out, but i'm gonna stick it because it works great, looks great, and i don't think the 4G is worth an upgrade. I'll probably wait until the 5G comes out.-James at 2007-11-15 13:50:22 >

No one's offended, it's just riddiculous to want the latest and greatest gadget when you've got a perfectly good, functioning unit that's only marginally inferior to the 4G (in some people's opinions; I think the 3G has a much better aesthetic). When (or if) your iPod breaks or is stolen, then you can look longingly at the 4G. Until then, be happy for what you have

I have a 3G 10GB and am also looking for an upgrade.. But I am thinking of getting a 3G 30GB as I just need a larger HDD to house my music.. I did not like the clickwheel design and overall dislike the 4G iPod so I'm sticking with a 3G to tide me over until the 5G release..Just wait it out you have a fine product.

Seriously. I have a 3G 20 gig, and personally, and I don't mean to start anything here, I like it better than the 4G. There aren't that many features that I would need from the 4G, and pure asthetics, I like the 3G better... Be happy with what you have. There are starving children in Africa... :p

Four more hours is hardly enough to tempt me to spend another $430 CDN. I charge it everynight anyways so those four hours would not do very much for me anyways...

yeah come on. wait AT LEAST like two years or something. it's all about the music anyway, and you only have 600 songs. i have more than 4 days of music on my ipod and i still havent reached 7 GB. there ARE starving kids in africa and all over, even in n.america, europe, or wherever you are. sell your 3G iPod, give the money to charity, and buy a 4G iPod. then you can get the 4G, feel good about it, and your mommy will say you did good.lol

There was a time when I had to have the latest and greatest gadgets. But I'm a bit older now, and I learnt to 'make do' with what I had... besides, I have to buy these things myself with my own money and there comes a time when things like a new kitchen or bathroom or car become more important than a 40 gig music player.Also, I don't know quite what I'd do with 40 or even 20 gigs worth of space... I have nearly 900 tracks which represents - oh I dunno - 75% of my CDs... and some of these I just don't listen to anymore (mostly 80s nonsense).

It's just the way it is with technology. I just bought an awesome 2000 dollar ThinkPad, but like anything else, when you get it home, something new comes out. You just gotta buy what you want when you want it, then use it until it's broken or ridiculously obsolete.
I'll keep my 3G till something really awesome comes out, and I'll keep my ThinkPad for a least 3-5 years.

i hear you 3G'ers, the 3G ipod is awesome, the only reason i got the 4G was because my sister wanted one so i was like, take my 3G and i'll get one of the 4Gs because i can use the extra battery life and the extra 5 gigs. besides that i was content with the 3G, the design is still the best.DXiRoNMaN at 2007-11-15 14:13:39 >
