iPod mini & 20gb 3G compatibility?
I've just brought the misses a pink iPod mini for our anniversary - As I already own a 3g 20gb 'maxi' iPod what accessories that I already have will work with the new mini?
For the 3G I own the dock, firewire cable, a USB cable, car and home chargers, remote control, official apple headphones, sony mdr-ex71 'phones...
Also my ipod is windows formatted and the music is currently only held on the ipod, not the PC... I'm going to be transfering back my music to the PC (following the instructions posted elsewhere on 'ipod 101') but is there any issues I should know about when having 2 pods on the same machine?
Any other issues anyone's got and can advise me on would be gratefully received!
Cheers! :D

Take a look at this link:

I have two iPods (mini and 3rd Gen 15 gig) on the same windows machine. The dock won't work for the mini (size difference) but everything else works between the two. Unless you want everything on the mini to match what is on the 20gig (obviously not really possible since the hard drives are different), make sure the mini is not set-up for autosync with iTunes.

I thank you very much! We're now proud owners of a pink ipod mini to compliment my mod'ed 3g... And itunes is dealing with both happily so we can both share our (now rather large) music library! :)
Quote of the week though? The misses when she first plugged in her mini to the laptop...
"There's no way I'll fill this up - I don't know that many songs!"
Less than 10 mins later...
"How can it be full already?! I've only got 1036 songs on it... oh hold on a minute... that's quite a lot isn't it?!"
:D bless!
