Duplicates in different playlists

I am getting an iPod this month and I just finished sorting all my music on iTunes into different playlists. I realized that some songs that I want to upload are on multiple playlists. If I upload the playlists onto the iPod, will I be uploading the same song multiple times for each playlist it falls under? or is the iPod smart enought to detect this and use one file for multiple playlists?

Playlists are just a way the iPod sorts songs. They reference the main library when playing the song. Songs only get uploaded once unless you have duplicates in your main library.blazzinmatt at 2007-11-15 14:42:05 >
