Battery Replacement Program - Same iPod?
Ok, this might be a stupid question, but... I was reading the Battery Replacement Program FAQ on Apple's website and the way they make it sound, you don't get your original iPod mini back - you get a replacement. Is this true?

Hopefully it is. Don't get me wrong, I love my iPod, but the damn thing's batteries have not worked right since day one. I have never been able to hold anywhere near an 8-hour charge. So, I'm hoping that whenever I decide to use the Battery Replacement Program, they'll just be sending a new mini. Anyone know?

By the wroding that I think they put in that i think they will replace the battery not the ipod that would be evry expensive for them to do so i doubt. My battery has lasted be about 7 1/2 hours just turn off the equalizer and put the sound down 75% and you get 7 easliy i would belive the equalizer drains the battery really quickly

I think they just send you a refurbed iPod, so you don't get your original back.

My old one was all badly scratched when I sent it in. They gave me back a new/refurb one but it was without scratches...So yeah.

i believe the serial numbers on refurbs start with GQ, well the ones in australia do...! so you may be able to tell that way!
