iPod Recharging Options (Please Help)

Hey y'all,

I am new to this forum and a new iPod owner as well. I am a little confused about what my different options are for recharging my iPod mini.

I am going to be traveling to Pakistan in a week and want to be able to recharge my iPod mini there. I know that Pakistan uses 220 V instead of our 110 V. However, the AC adapter that comes with the iPod mini is supposed to be for 100-240 V so I should be fine as far as the juice is concerned. BUT, do I need to buy the "WORLD TRAVEL KIT" accessory in order to have the proper plugs for Pakistani power outlets, or what?

Secondly, is it true that I can recharge my iPod mini using the USB connection or the Fire Wire connection in a PC? If that's true, I guess I could connect my iPod mini directly into a PC and let it charge as well right?

I am not that knowledgeable about the iPod Mini's capabilities (yet) so any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Using a firewire, yes the ipod does automatically charge until the cable is removed.

As far as USB 2.0 is concerned it does charge from a USB 2.0 port (battery icon shows that it's charging) although it stops when I disconnect the hardware from the toolbar's system tray.

Hope this helps :)
