saab 9-3 2001 convertible (WIP)

Not ready to go into "production", posting here to get more ideas, experiences etc.

i think i finally have a way to feed the signal from my iPod to the factory audio system of my car. This car does not have a line-in jack.

I never liked the performance of FM transmitters and wanted to hard-wire it.

the car: Saab 9-3 2001 convertible with the factory CD audio system.

thanks Brad, looking forward to complete the project and have it looking as good as the ones in your photos.

What remote control and docking cable did you use on the Jetta project?

the remote is an OEM Apple ipod remote. the mount is a $25 radio shack cellphone mount. it fits the ipod perfectly even with an iskin on it.

When you get a working solution, and I'm confident you will based on your work so far, you will be forever revered by those of us who own a Saab 9-3. If you are not already a member, please think of joining http://www.saabcentral.com and post your findings there in the Saab 9-3 & NG900 Workshop forum.

You would be amazed at how many have thought about and tried to do what you have already accomplished. I myself am anxiously awaiting more postive results on your part.

Keep up the good work!
