NEEDED: Female dock connector adapter with line-in

As an owner of an Ipod, my Audi car radio limited line in has been taken up by the Dension Ice-Link.

Let's face it, the ipod is the most important aux input for the car to listen to music. but unfortunately, if i hook up a direct ipod connection to the headunit nothing else can be connected without the complex wiring of an A-B Switch.

Even Dension made sure to tell me that if i connect an Ice-Link to my headunit that my SAT radio receiver would no longer work. Luckily i did not have a factory installed Sat Radio Receiver.

For Xmas i was given a portable Sat Receiver that i can use in the car and the home. When installing in the car i was limited to use the built-in FM modulator or use a cassette adapter -- Neither one is acceptable, but i have to use the FM Modulator due to its lack of wires -- the sound sucks.

With the advent of increased direct ipod connection to the headunits of many cars i think that a new adpater needs to be produced so that we can easily use the ipod dock connector to feed through other audio into the connection

FEMALE DOCK CONNECTOR LINE IN

I have petitioned Griffin Technology as well as SendStation about producing an adapter that can attach to the male dock connector to allow a mini RCA jack to be input into it so that other audio sources can be played THROUGH the ipod connection wire.

I can then run a wire from my SAT receiver over to my Dension Ice-link dock and when i choose to listen to SAT Radio i can simply plug the adapter into the ice-link dock to get clean SAT Radio sound into my system.

Does this sound like an adapter that some could use?

This could also be used to connect DVD audio into the system or others

I welcome your comments....
