cassette adapter vs belkin fm transmitter II

I want to play my iPod out of my car stero. Which is better a cassette adapter or a fm transmitter, for sound quality and ease of use? Please post your suggestions, I have a factory stero with a cd player and tape player.

Tape adapters are supposed to give superior sound quality, but for some reason I always get terrible sound when I use one. Maybe it's my car stereo. Anyway, if you're looking for an FM transmitter, then the iTrip is the best, hands down. It gives me great sound quality, and I don't have trouble finding a station (despite what others have said about the iTrip). I'd try both, and see which one sounds best to you.

Unless you live in some sort of FM free zone transmitters are quite often more trouble than they are worth. You will find that you are constantly searching for a clear frequency or your music is suffering interference. Top that off with the problem that they suck battery life big time and IMO they are a waste of space.

I have settled on a cassette adapter plugged into a Belkin Auto kit which in turn is plugged into the Dock port of my iPod. I get wonderful sound (line out quality) and the iPod is constantly being charged when in the car - the best of both worlds.
