Woo hoo! PAC AUX-POD Rocks!

Well I found these on Ebay, I had a hard time finding them online because they are on backorder everywhere.

Well I ordered it, got it and installed it in my 2002 Honda Accord and this thing totally rocks! I had my friend help me install it, it took us about 2 hours, they said it should take about 45 minues but we didn't really know what the hell we were doing ;)

If anyone needs pointers on a 2002 Accord sedan then drop me a line, I'd be glad to help.

I got $5 off from these guys because I just sent them a Paypal payment directly (so they could avoid paying the ebay fees). It's a little shady, but I just ask them and I'm sure they'll do the same for you...

Here's a link to the guy that sold me mine:

# 1 Re: Woo hoo! PAC AUX-POD Rocks!
Question -- how is the audio level? Is the iPod audio approx the same as the FM or CD audio levels? I'm considering one of these devices but it'd be really annoying to always have to remember to turn down the volume before switching to radio lest I blow out my passengers' eardrums.

Any other suggestions for '02 4Runner w/ OEM CD/cass/radio HU? By the time I add the additional M-Bus-to-Toyota translator and other stuff, both Monster's forthcoming gadget and the Dension Ice-Link are a bunch more $$$ than I care to spend at the moment.

Just installed mine this week in my '03 Impala. Learned the following:

(1) I have all my tunes normalized (via MP3Gain) to 92db plus 3 tic's on the Volume Adjustment in iTunes. I'm finding that my volume is only slightly lower than other sources...i.e., I have to turn up the volume for my iPod just a bit, not much.

(2) I get interference noise if I connect my AUX-POD cable to my iPod while the radio is already on. If I connect before I've turned the radio on, the sound is clean and perfect. Best guess has to do with Constant Power connection combined with the intelligence built into the iPod's dock connector.

(3) Took us about 2.5 hours to install, due to learning curve on my dash and radio connections. End result is worth every bit of it!
