Help Ipod Lost In Mail

I recently posted about my brand new HP ipod being defective. So I got an RMA # from BUY.COM and decided to return it back to them. I printed their shipping label (it was for UPS ground) and afixed it to the box. Basically followed all the directions.

Then i asked my dad to mail it for me. He went to the post office and in order to have it delivered in a faster time frame paid couple bucks faster to do a USPS Priority Mail (2-3 days). However, without any insurance of tracking # or confirmation. Nothing.

It has been over a week now. Still no word from buy.com about them receiving the return. I am begining to worry that I will neither get my ipod or a refund.

Called USPS and they said they can't do anything... have to file some form. But the damn thing was not insured or anything.

PLEASE HELP. ANY ideas as to what I should DO?

Without insurance, tracking #, or delivery confirmation, if buy.com doesn't receive it and it got lost then I'm doubting there's anything that can really be done. I would, as stinkiedmb suggested, definitely call buy.com to double check and see if they received it. Sometimes place don't update their status pages even if they receive things, so you never know.

I'd push your dad's car off a cliff and tell him that you hope he has insurance because the car may be lost.

But for no good reason at all, I think it's all gonna work out OK.

what Moxxi said has got to be one of the funniest things I've ever read on these forums. Props to Moxxi, that was hilarious lol..

Anyway, next time you mail something worth over 50$, why not spend a couple dollars extra to get insurance and delivery confirmation?

Tell your dad he owes you a new iPod

the USPS never delays their mail, especially if it is 2-3 days Priority, it WILL get there in 2-3 days. Was it delivered on a Friday, or a weekend or something? Cause the 2-3 days means 2-3 BUSINESS days.

Hope everything works out okay for you.

LMAO...

You should always insure something over $100. Too bad...I know that my parents don't trust them...they lose stuff of ours all the time.
