iPod Album Art?

Hello all,
I apologize if this post isn't in the right topic.(I didn't kow where else to put it) Alrighty. I've heard on iPod photo you can have album art on the songs you put on there. How does that work? I mean where does the pic show up on the iPod? And how do I get it on there? Please, I would really really like to know! A.S.A.P.!
Thanks in advance.

Note that you have to be using iTunes 4.7, as it's the only application out that currently supports album artwork.

From there, you basically add the album artwork to the tracks in iTunes, using the method that nathanbeer suggests, either with iTunes Art Importer or simply dragging-and-dropping the artwork into the artwork window in iTunes (select Edit->Show Artwork to see the album artwork window). You can generally find a lot of album artwork on sites like Amazon.

I tend to use the iTunes Art Importer utility when I'm going through my collection adding a lot of album artwork. For the one or two here-and-there additions, I just drag the image from Amazon (in my web browser window) and drop it on the track's album info in iTunes.

At any rate, once you've got the album artwork showing up in iTunes, you have to make sure that you've selected to "Display album artwork on your iPod" (in iTunes preferences).

The songs dont even need to be part of an album. For all my non-album songs I add a picture of the band/artist.
