Ok I know when I get my new ipod I am sopposed to charge it first...but Can I charge it with the dock connected to my computer as I upload songs? Or do I have to charge it first then upload my music and pictures. Thanks in Advance!

My advice is to wait until it is fully charged before you start playing with it.

Take the charging time to drag and drop album art into iTunes, and to sort your photo library.

You might not notice anything for the first 12 months but it may affect your battery life in the long run.

Resist the urge to play with it right away. The initial charge will only take a few hours. Use that time to install latest iTunes, organize your music, look at accessories, post here that you got it, etc.

Got It...Charged for 5 hours and then took 1 hour to get all of my pictures and music on it! It is SO COOL!! I love the click wheel...I knew how to use it instantly. The size worried me when I heard it was thicker...couldn't even tell!!! It was the perfect size!
