One FUNNY anti-Bush/War comment.
I found the following gem to be extremely funny as it is just so to the point.
Then it hit me how true the idea is.
"Gerardo Fernandez, a spokesman for Mexico's leftist Democratic Revolution Party, arrived in Merida on Monday with a bag of toy soldiers he wanted to leave at Bush's hotel so he could "play war and leave the world alone."

What do you think?
Should we buy President Bush some toys so he can play war at home in his spare time?

Only if there was a base support unit model that worked like Haliburton to siphon off all the US Taxpayer money.

Brave Americans are dying and being permanently disabled in war, and we're making jokes. It's not funny- but to be expected from a country that cannot even feed its own people and sends them northward for OUR nation to deal with.
We should send him some illegals in a bag...

Do you even know what Haliburton does and who else can do what they do? Or are you just regurgitating what the left has told you about the "evil" Haliburton? Who would you prefer to do the things that they do?

It's a cute quip. I'd send him a Clue board game in return and tell him that hopefully now he will have one.

I understand they are a huge conglomeration that likely have their hands in many more things than I know about. They have much to do with drilling for and processing oil.
I know they provide support for our troops. I know that they get no-bid contracts and over-bill us taxpayers by billions of dollars. I think it's going to be very convenient for them to avoid scrutiny when they move their headquarters out of our country.
Who would do it? Our own government would be my preference.
Thanks, but I don't need to regurgitate what I've been told, I can make my own observations and form my own opinions.

My slight joke was aimed at GW himself.
I don't support the war in any fashion, but I do support the warrior. I am thankful that there are people out there risking life and limb for their country.

Who other than HB could have taken on the job in Iraq? The left moans about "no bid", but there was no alternative capable.

Something GW should have considered before invading a country on made up evidence.
Do you know for a fact that HB was the only company who could provide the support?

Ahhh, yes... the Federal Government. A glimmering model of efficient use of resources.
At least a public company can be held accountable, if the customer so chooses. Let's not pretend that we would not have $200 toilet seats and $150 hammers if the gubbment ran things. There is no real oversight in either case.
Haliburton does a dangerous and niche job. Contrary to popular left wing myth, it is OK for a company to make a profit while working for the government. The gov't certainly makes a profit off of me.

Well it used to be Haliburton, Dresser and Kellogg-Brown and Root.
But Haliburton bought all them up during the Cheney years. So they're the monopoly now. Convenient, no?

Dresser Wayne is no longer part of Halliburton, as of just days after the first inauguration. (here) (http://www.odysseyinvestment.com/index.php?page=news-show&id=3)
