Apple screws EU developers

EU ADC Select members are in for an unpleasant surprise.

Instead of paying $499 they now have to shell out $670.

Why?

ADC memberships are now sold through Ireland and as such 21% VAT is added.

Unfortunalty Irish VAT is not deductible in other EU countries.

Normally you would give the company VAT-number so the seller can make a TAX-free invoice.

Unfortunately not with Apple, at the moment they simply refuse TAX-free orders.

And thanks to the 200 euro required minimum you can forget about a refund from the Irish IRS.
