I used to stream my music from a powerbook (wireless to router to wireless Airport Express...and at least once per hour a hiccup in my tunes or even complete stoppage.

I now keep my music folder on a NetDisk (NDAS) drive connected directly to my router with an ethernet cable.

I access that folder from both my 1999 iMac 350mhz blueberry (hardwired) and my laptop (wireless) and have had ZERO hiccups or stops in 1 month. Coincidence? I dunno, all I know is that having the files on the disk rather than the laptop makes for a better overall experience (and I can access from two computers).

any thoughts why this would work better? I'm still using wireless on the laptop but its way better.
