file permissions?

I'm a DJ. and i made a new mix. i recorded it with audacity and encoded it in mp3, i saved it.

heres my problem.. after double clicking it, it imports into itunes library, and it copies itself into the itunes library folder.. but, the mp3 i saved is fine, but the copied mp3 thats in the itunes folder has Read Only permission, and i cant do anything with it, like if i need to copy it and put it somewhere else.. why is that? i cant change it, and itunes never did this with any other files

In the finder can you get info (command i)on the file and change the permissions there?

no i cant, its greyed out and it says you can only read

whats weird is that i deleted the file, and imported it again to the library from the original (which is read and write) and it imported it as read only again. and i cnt change it

Try downloading XRay. it has the ability to change more about a file's permissions than the finder. http://www.brockerhoff.net/xray
