I recently came across this application the other day and it seems like it is pretty cool and does a lot of the stuff I want to do with my iPod.

One feature that is really cool is that it will put all the music in your iTunes library in a directory that isn't hidden. So you will be able to easily browse through your music files on your iPod using the Finder.
