airport card

hi, i'm having problems with spoofing the mac address of the airport extreme card on mi G4 ibook...i'm trying with the "ifconfig en1 ether <MAC ADDRESS>" command, but the command gaves me a result of "operation not supported"...does anyone knows how to do this?

i wasn't aware you could do this with airport extreme cards. Are you using an older airport card (supports passive mode)

i'm using an airport extreme cardd....doesn't support passive mode? using macsniffer it has the option of promiscuous mode for both the airport and the ethernet card...i don't know if it really works with the airport card...
but the thing is that i also want to spoof the mac address and don't know howw...
