Enya rocks!
Have had her latest CD for a few months. But I still listen to it everyday...
The music is awesome.
One of the best buys (IMO) this year :)
Now you guys can't say I only listen to Sarah Brightman :D

her "new" album sounds suspiciously like every other album she has done

When my rap-loving roommate decided to put on her new CD, I didn't know what to think.
I was disturbed, disgusted and discombobulated! [/Jackie Chiles]
But um, yeah ... Enya's new album sounds quite a lot like everything else she's done.

That's totally up to the person him/her self...
Some may like certain artists and some don't
It's good to have choice :)

Yeah, I've enjoyed Enya's music for quite a long time now... I wonder when her first album came out.
My hard-rock roommate heard the "pop" remix of "Only Time" on the radio a while back and said he thought it was cool. I quickly whipped open iTunes and played the original version of that and he was, needless to say, speechless. :D

Oh God, I hear Enya music everywhere...I can't escape it...HELP.
I've been on two cruises, different lines even. They both played Adiemus at the aft of the Sun deck. I suppose it sounds like sailing, voyaging music.
Of course every 4 years, means Enya music on NBC to dramatize the Olympics gymnastics event coverage. I believe the preferred song here is Book of Days.
And then for a while, Only Time was being played on the TV for all those Sweet November spots.
Forget Enya, I'm listening to For No One from the Beatles Revolver CD. :p

Heather Nova rocks more.
As does Sarah McLachlan.

Enya's first album was in 1987, titled "Enya", followed by "Watermark" in 1988, "Shepherd Moons" in 1991, "The Celts" (a re-release of "Enya") in 1992, "The Memory of Trees" in 1995, "Paint the Sky with Stars" in 1997, and "A Day Without Rain" in 2000.
I really cannot stand both the pop and WTC remix of "Only Time" which, while I like it, has become extremely overused.
Enya rocks!!!

You guys want to hear some good (electronic) mood music from an Irish musician, check out Patrick O'Hearn. Not only is it relaxing, but some of his tracks get the ladies primed for lovin' if you know what I'm saying...

I guess I'm the only one here that doesn't really like her music.

Aaaagh, I just heard Only Time on a CNN commercial. The Flag waving out of an American Airlines cockpit window was cool though.

I'm not a fan. She seems to have made millions out of recording elevator muzak.
I understand it's not Enya's fault, but it made me feel rather sick that the TV networks chose 'Only Time' as the "theme" for the events of September 11. It wasn't some f**cking sports event. Sickening.
I also hope she'll have the decency to donate any royalties from the TV networks to charity.

Your day breaks, your mind aches
You find that all her words of kindness linger on
When she no longer needs you
She wakes up, she makes up
She takes her time and doesn't feel she has to hurry
She no longer needs you
And in her eyes you see nothing
No sign of love behind the tears
Cried for no one
A love that should have lasted years
You want her, you need her
And yet you don't believe her when she said her love is dead
You think she needs you
And in her eyes you see nothing
No sign of love behind the tears
Cried for no one
A love that should have lasted years
You stay home, she goes out
She says that long ago she knew someone but now he's gone
She doesn't need him
Your day breaks, your mind aches
There will be time when all the things she said will fil your head
You won't forget her
And in her eyes you see nothing
No sign of love behind the tears
Cried for no one
A love that should have lasted years

I just heard an old tape of a radio interview my band did in college (95-96ish). When asked about our influences I blurted out "a whole lot of enya".
It was pretty damn funny at the time.

I always wondered how she could be best selling Irish artist in stead of U2...now I know :)
# 21 Re: Enya rocks!
Course she rocks!!! She's an Irish lass! Anyone who likes Enya should take a listen to Clannad also...they were one of the best bands ever to come out of Ireland.
