Panic releases Transmit 1.7b2
As a pleasant surprise this morning, Panic has released an update to my favorite Mac FTP program Transmit 1.7b2. Apparently, the update brings faster speed and other improvements. It certainly still features the most intuitive and Mac-like user interface of any FTP application out there.
I was afraid that all hands at Panic were working on Audion, to make sure it would stay competitive with the free iTunes. But I'm glad to see that development of Transmit continues.
I have no connection with Transmit. However, this is a plug for one of my favorite pieces of software. ;)

That's good to know. I've been using Transmit for most of the year, recently snagging the OS X version.
You're right...it's VERY easy and Mac-like and probably my favorite little side/secondary app.
If you haven't tried it, check it out:

Wow, this is awesome! I've been looking for a while for a graphical ftp client that could beat ncftp and it looks like I've finally found one. Good job Panic!

Wow, I'm still running Transmit 1.5.
Downloading the upgrade now. :)

I had a few stability issues with the b1 that I hope were fixed in b2. Not big problems, nor were they frequent, but problems nonetheless.
Anyway, I lived with the bugs because Panic makes (IMHO, of course) the best FTP program for any platform.
Transmit (with it's wonderful 128 x 128 icon :D ) is a permanent resident of my dock. Right there next to OmniWeb and Starcraft (thanks Blizzard).
