Successor to Unreal Tournament?

I can't believe I still play this freaking game. I go through cycles where for four or five months I don't even have it installed, then I play every day for a couple months, get sick of it and wipe it off the drive again...

...just wondering if something new is coming? Maybe an excuse to buy an original AGP Radeon card? God knows there isn't much use for them otherwise...

Return to Castle Wolfenstein might take UT's place in the next few months, but it's hard to tell.

We might have to wait for Unreal 2, and who knows how long that will take...

HALO....I think this will be a hit whenit comes to Mac and PC. You can say whatever you want about it being outdated, but I have palyed it and the gameplay is amazing.

It's out for XBox, but they haven't even started on the Mac or PC versions. From an IMG link it said that first the Halo team was going to do some testing and debugging, then it would get a very needed vacation. After that they would start in on the next project, Mac/PC Halo.

I wish I could play RTCW but it seems only to be Cocoa. For us Classic holdouts we seem to be left out. ;( Time to get 10.1 I guess.

A while ago, John Carmack said that no ID product after Q3 would run on the classic Mac OS. So, yeah, you might wanna pick up a copy of OS X :) .

Wolfenstein is becoming extremely popular, although its only in MP demo and has one map. The game is unique in how is handles teamwork, so unlike the other shooter games you cant win with no teamwork.

Oh, did I say I have a Wolfenstein divisision?

I played such games for a while, but alas, I grew tired of shooting people. ;)

Maby UT 2 will come out some day, Halo seems pretty interresting. But don't forget Doom 3 (the one we saw at one MacWorld Expo) this one too can be great. I'm gonna have to get a GeForce 2 MX from a peecee, Rage 128 sucks in new games <img src="graemlins/smokin.gif" border="0" alt="[Chilling]" />

Sorry, but a GF2MX won't run Doom III. ;) You'll be needing a GF3TI200 or better for 30fps+ gameplay.

Yeah, 10.1 seems more and more needed now.

You will most definately be able to play Doom 3 on a GF2MX. Thats a rediculous notion. If ID did that, no one would buy it. In comparison to the GF2MX and Radeon and Rage 128, hardly anyone has a GF3! I would wager that you will be able to play it on a Rage 128 with lowest settings... But dont quote me. :p
