Dear Kraut,

Here are the answers:

1. Whenever you download something its saved in a folder, atleast for downloading programs, and from websites when I do this, and I use firefox, I have it selected to go to the desktop. If you use IE it might be somewhere else. To get the songs on your iPod you first transfer them to the iTunes music library by doing: File>>Add file library {This is for adding one song to the Library OR you do: File>>Add folder to library {this adds a whole folder if you want to add a lot of music simantaniously at the same time}

2. I think you can delete the songs of the iPod yourself with the 4G?? Or you just delete them when you are synching your iPod with your computer

I hope I helped,

Lots of luck,

welcome to the lounge.

to transfer songs that are already loaded onto your computer, you must first load them into itunes. when you first install itunes, it will prompt you to search your computer for music files. this should find your p2p mp3's etc. and load them into your itunes library. once you sync your ipod (with the auto-sync feature turned on) it will create a mirrored library of you music in itunes on your ipod.

to delete songs from your ipod, just delete them from itunes (shift-Del) and once you sync the ipod, those songs will be removed from the ipod
