I'm curious about iTalk voice recorder functionality: would it be possible to build something simillar myself? Is it really just a microphone and something instructing iPod to enable its sound recording functionality or does it include some complicated circuitry (ASIC?).

I have noticed iTrip connects where remote connector is regularly connected... Does anybody know what for?
