no. i have barely used it since I got it a month ago. I tried to record sounds off TV but it sounds terrible. it will probably be more useful when I get into college. perhaps, its because ipod doesnt support high quality sound recording. It is only good if you want to leave a note without using pen and paper, I guess. The speaker on the itrip is not much of use as well. even ear/headphones with the maximum volume sound better and louder. ( you cant adjust the volume to the maximum using italk with 4G ipod, since it would jump to voice memo mode. its a bug...) IMO, its not worth the money. with 30 bucks, I can get better stuff like iSee, iskin, itrip or something else.

I have a buddy who uses it to record lectures. He likes it. I do not need to record lectures (I take notes) so I do not want one.

If you need to record spoken word, then maybe it is worth it. If you want it as a novelty then I would say it is not worth it.

Although I haven't used mine very much yet, it seems like a quality product.

Sometimes, I record notes into it. I can then rename them while I am on my computer and move them. For example, I might record a voice mail message from work and then attach the file under the person's name in Microsoft Outlook.

It can be a very handy tool. I plan to use it next month to record a discussion in a workshop that I am facilitating for work.

I use my iTalk mic to record college lectures; exceptional product. Picks up lectures from podium with great clarity. Occasional hum from iPod drive, but not a big deal. I then download to computer and listen while reviewing notes, or relisten using iPod. Best money I've spent on an accessory.

I plan to use it during the holidays to record "dinner table" conversations with our family.
