After doing searches on the italk, it seems that the italk delivers poor quality recordings, especially of live music. There are a lot of suggestions to use a microphone for a MD player instead. Some suggested cheap $10 microphones.

I have the Sony MDrz91 - what inexpensive mics would be compatible with this? Would this still be better than the italk, or would I be better off with the italk itself on the ipod?
