iTunes on 2 PCs and iPod

I will be buying an ipod in a couple of days and I have iTunes on both my desktop PC at home and on my laptop.

I don't want to have the same content on both my PC and laptop. Most of the music will reside on my desktop and I will be grabbing podcasts for use withthe iTunes on my Thinkpad.

Will I have problems when I try and sync my iPod with my laptop - will it try and sync all the music from my ipod down to my laptop? I don't really want that to happen.

Welcome to the lounge. If you are going to be using it on two computers, I suggest you put the iPod on "manually manage songs and playlists" here ( http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=61131). This way it will not auto sync w/the laptop and erase all of the songs off of the iPod.
