I think I lost purchased songs
I am a newbie....I had some trouble with iTunes last night. I had successfully, I thought, moved 3600 songs to my new iPod from a previous MP3 player. They were in iTunes library and on the iPod. I also purchased 10 songs from iTunes.
Then I deleted what I thought were no longer MP3 files on my hard drive. I apparently should not have done that because iTunes could then no longer locate the songs.
I added the songs back into iTunes after deleting the songs in the library, but the purchased songs are gone..... Am I out the cash, or can I get the lost songs back again through iTunes? Can I download them just once?

Welcome to the lounge. This is the importance of backing up your library. Always burn any songs and all songs not already on a CD.
You can contact iTunes and see if they will let you redownload the songs. Sometimes they will but most of the time they don't. Ask. Did you check the iPod? Also, check under "About" and see how much space is available. This will tell you if the songs are on the iPod HD and just not showing up.
