Iskin eVo2 and I trip problems
I just got an iSkin eVo2 for my 40 Gb 4G iPod. It fit great and didn't add much bulk. Then I tried to use my iTrip and it wouldn't work. The iSkin is pushing my iTrip up so that it doesn't connect properly.
The only way I can get it to work is to have two rubber band holding it tight. I thought maybe after a day or 2 with the rubber bands the iSkin will form to fit. No such luck.
So my question is, did anyone else have this problem? Did I get a bad iSkin, or is this just they way it is?

I was just about to post the same issue. I have the same problem, I pushed it in a little more and started working. I just got the iSkin and have onle used the itrip once. Ill monitor it but it seems to work OK once I put a little more pressure on it. It did not needs constant pressure like your rubberband.
Does any one else have this problem, I have a 40 gigger by the way..

so no one else has this issue huh?
I called iskin yesterday and they said they'd call me back by end of business.
they didn't. I'm hoping that i just have a defective iSkin and can swap it out.
I'll keep you updated.

The Solution isn't here, but it's getting alot more attention, so keep tabs on it. I'm sure someone will post something useful. Good luck ( http://www.ipodlounge.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=53328)

Do you really mean 'iSkin' as in the actual brand-name iSkin, rather than just using it as a generic term to describe any brand of silicone case? The reason I ask is that I had exactly the problem you describe with a silicone case from Speck - but then changed over to an actual iSkin Evo 2 case and noticed that the silicone on the top was actually thinner to accomodate the iTrip and iTalk (etc.) products.
I actually got over the problem with the Speck case by trimming out the hole on the top with a scalpel you need only make the hole a couple of mm wider along it's widest dimension and the iTrip works fine.
Not sure if this is helpful as you may simply have a duff iSkin - if so, you should get it replaced as they are actually supposed to be thinner on the top.

My Ghost evo2 iSkin fits the iTrip perfectly. No problems whatsoever.
You got a bad one, man. They're supposed to work.

Good News!!!
The iSkin works with the iTrip. I have it, I'll see if I can post some pics sometime, gotta find my digital camera though. The iSkin appears to block off the iTrip but it still works, I tried it at my local Fry's and the red light was glowing as I used it. I think that means that it is on. The iTrip works with the iSkin. Perhaps they fixed the mold?
