It does fit all model iPod's except the mini. You have to flip the lid to change songs and stuff unless you use a remote, but you can throw it against a brick wall and it wont break (or so they say,I wouldnt try it).
Or you could get a iSkin eVo 2 I have the eVo and the exo for my 3rd gen 10gb and I like it.

Go with some sort of ipod armor. To whoever mentioned the vaja, wtf? Thats like the exact opposite of rugged. The vaja is basically and expensive (overpriced) leather case.

the contour showcase looks good and seems like it would protect ok, but it actually looks as though if you drop it, the plastic will crack.

for what you need...i'd recommend the showcase or better yet, the ipod armor -- do they make armor for the 4g's yet?

armor fits all ipod models.

anybody hear anything good/different about the 4G opod? did they fix that leakage thing?

i'd really like it to be waterproof instead of resistant

iPod Armor is the best protection money can buy for an iPod.

yeah i know, what i meant is -- the last time i checked, they only made armors with imprints that matched the 3g models.

I am looking for a great rugged iPod case as well for my 4th gen 20 gig. The iPod armor looks tuff enuff but I need access to my controls without opening the case. That is a deal breaker. It looks like the iSkin evo2 is the best option for me so far. Any other suggestions along this line?

Contour Showcase in black!

Only knock on it is that the iTrip won't fit when it's on. No big deal since there are other good FM transmitters out there.

Yeah, the iPod Armor has the four buttons for the 3G stamped in the front of the case. It looks pretty stupid when used with a 4G, whether it fits or not.

Hopefully they'll come out with a 4G model soon. The oPod case is also supposed to be out in mid-November.

I like the iSkin evo2... I don't use the belt clip, though.

Someday I'll blow the cash on a Vaja, but $70 is a lot for a case, leather or not.
