Can you use a skin and a case?

4G 40GiB iPod.

Is it possible to keep an iPod in a skin but then place it in the skin in a case as well?

The main players skin-wise are the iSkin Evo^2, and the various Lajo's.
Having a skin seems to be a pretty secure way of protecting the iPod, particularly against scratches.
However I also very much like the look of some of the cases available, in particular the various marwares (convertible especially).

I was thinking about having the iPod pretty much constantly in a skin, but then having a case which i could then use to carry it about in my bag, or as extra security on a belt or in a pocket while walking/cycling.

Can any skins and cases work together?

Are the marware cases too snug to hold an iPod in a skin? Any other case options that are able to?

Thanks

I'm sorry that this isn't a reply to your actual question, but I would like to know the answer, too. I have a marware sportsuit convertible, but i'm also lookin into either a lajo or an iskin. I like the marware, especially the armband for working out. the lid is nice, too because it gives me a place to store my headphones, but it's a little bulky in the pocket for day-to-day use. any help anyone?

Absolutely not. If you are caught using an iSkin in combination with any other type of case the iPolice will be alerted and you will spend 5-10 years doing hard time in iPrison. </sarcasm>

I use my iSkin with a carrying case I bought from the gap for $4. I wouldn't recommend trying with Marware though. Their sportsuit convertable which was supposed to fit 20 and 40 gig versions doesn't fit my 4g 40 gig without any other case at all.

So the marware's would be too snug to hold an iPod in a skin?

So far people have only mentioned other non-iPod-specific cases that will hold the iPod in a skin. Thanks for those.

But are there any cases designed specifically for the iPod+skin?

The STM cocoon will work with any skin. I have had one for about 2 months.

When the iPod is not in use, I put it in the cocoon and go. Using the cocoon and skin it should be well protected from impact. The cocoon case is not a stiff case like a sunglass case therefore the iPod would not be protected, for example, if you sat on it.
