yes, I had mine on for only a few days after purchase and when I took it off I noticed scratches in a circle pattern about the size of the disc on the back of the clip, needless to say right then and there I took the clip off and will never put it back on

Don't use the clip, it sucks anyway.

But the actual case doesn do any damage? How easy is the clip to take off?

yup, when you buy it the peice of paper that comes with it tells you how to, it took me a while to figure it out, but it's really not that hard once you know what to do

so, concidering podsleevs and iskin evo2 and dlo's skins and the exo's - what makes each rank above or below eachother?

i mean, i would flat out get an iskin evo2 if it were 20 bucks. but 30 is a little much concidering shipping and handling. i mean, you do get the screen protector, clip (which i guess sucks?), and that zip case. but why should i get it over any other skin?

So if I wanted to use a belt clip without scratch my iPod, I shouldn't get the iSkin? Because I was planning on using it...

EDIT: Reading the old thread, it seems iSkin has fixed this problem in newer batches.

The new Evo2 belt clip attachment (the part that goes inside the case) is shaped differently from the old Evo style.

The new ones have a concave shape that keeps the plastic disc edges clear of the iPod back. AFAIK, It was these edges on the old Evo's that were scratching the iPod.

The thing in the case which you attach the clip onto is fine. Well, I think its ok, the back of my 'Pod is so scrathched I won't know the difference.

i just got my iskin last week and read saw this thread today, after reading the first post i took out the clip right away. no circular scratches, but i did notice that the disk was super sticky, and now that i've put the skin back on my ipod, you can see some residue from the disk. i can't seem to get it off, and it's highly annoying.

the scratches i do have on my ipod seemed to have mysteriously appeared AFTER i put the skin on. maybe i'm just noticing them now...
