New Vaja Arrived
Got my new Vaja case for my 20gig 4G today!! Ordered on 9/12/04. The case is black/black with the regular clip. I got this case based on posts from this forum and I couldn't be happier.

That looks great, I ordered mine on the 20th so it should be here pretty soon in the next week or so, do you know if that metal attachment on the back will be on the case if you didn't want a clip? i'll rather have nothing on the back and have it flat...then having some metal thing on it.

Here's mine, black again but for the 40GB. No belt clip.
# 4 Re: New Vaja Arrived
If you do not order the clip, the back will not have the attachment.
# 5 Re: New Vaja Arrived
Is it small enough to fit in your pocket with that case? Seems like you'd NEED the clip if its too puffy to fit in the pocket.

This case hardly adds anyting to the overall size. I could easily fit it in my pocket.
That's one of the reasons I didn't order it with the belt clip. I wanted a case that could lie flat on a table.
Here's the back without the "rivet" thing,

Wow!!!!!!! Thats looks so cool! After going on and on about it for ages now, I am finally going to order my 40gb 4th gen iPod this month. I really want a good quality case for it, and was wondering if Vaja cases for iPods are available for the UK. If so, does anyone know where I can get them from over here? I could go for the iSkin again, but want something different this time.

The case I ordered on Sept 19 arrived today.
It's Lilac Grey / Black with a Rivet clip.
Beautifully made, fits perfectly. It's very lightweight, the front is nicely padded, but it doesn't make the entire package too thick.
In recent weeks I've taken to using a Rivet clip with my cell phone and Sony T1 camera, so the iPod is now another Rivet'ed device.
So far, the only downside I see is that the PocketDock doesn't fit... it's too thick for the cutout. The Apple cables fit fine.

Here's the back without the "rivet" thing, Thanks! I really like being able to just slip it in my pocket, but I figure its just a matter of time before I drop it that way.
Nice case, BTW. :)

Thats a nice looking case, but at this point in time I dont know if I could justify spending 70 bucks for a case. I have my iPod in an Oakley Sunglass bag, and it works well for now.

Just recieved my Vaja case for 4G 20GB. I selected the rivet clip system, both work great. A couple of notes...
1. The shipment (FedEx) took all of the 25 days that was indicated when the order was placed.
2. I did NOT recieved an email notification that the order had been shipped as indicated I would on their websight, however I did jump the gun and emailed coustmer before the 25 days and requested an update..the return email indicated that it was due to be shipped at the end of that week(25 days).
3. The ipod is a snug fit into the case so I would suggest that the ipod be free as much as possible of any lint/dirt before insertion in the case to TRY to cut down on scratches when inserted.
I know that there is a profit to be made on these cases...packing slip that came with shipment indicated case was insured for $42.00.
I would recommend the case and company highly

i think 70 bucks for an ipod case is really really expensive...if they sell it for 50$ i definetly buy it right now:)

# 16 Re: New Vaja Arrived
I got my Vaja case Black/Gray recently.
I love the case but I have one question...
The iPod fits in really tight, almost too tight that it is hard to take it out of the case. I usually take the iPod out by pushing it from the bottom where the firewire is and I would like to know if people broke them in to the point where they didn't have to do that and an just take it out by just getting it from the sides at the top of the case...

I have the same issue Supter. It doesnt help that my dominant hand is 100% in a cast from a couple broken bones, but im worried pushing it from the bottom might cause some problems.
btw, got my Caterina Maiz 3g Vaja yesterday. i will post some pics soon.

I ordered a lilac gray and black case. After it arrived, I used a compressed air can to rid the case of any dust/lint and then slid my iPod in. It took some effort to get it in the case without scratching it, as the fit was really snug. Shortly after having put the iPod in, I noticed the screen protector had scratches on it that I did not originally see under indirect lights in my office. I know the screen protector is supposed to protect the iPod screen from getting scratched, but I didn't really want to stare at scratches on my $100+ Vaja case's screen protector either.
Getting the iPod out of the case was a real pain. There didn't seem to be any easy way to get it out without possibly doing some damage to either the case or the iPod, but I finally managed. I contacted Vaja to RMA the case and they were very good about sending me a new one out. Unfortunately, the next case that arrived had some unsightly color variations on the gray leather to the left of the click wheel, so I am sending that one back as well. I want to give Vaja another shot, but I'm not so sure it's worth the continued time and money spent on shipping these flawed cases back to them.

You can buy them from
http://www.innovacases.com
if in Europe.
The stock range is quite cheap (53 Euros for a stock mini case) but the range is very small.
If you chosse the more expensive custom case you are transferred to the Vaja site.
My mini case without clip ended up as $90 with postage but the case is spot on and fits like a glove - Well worth it.
