one ipod and two computers

i was using my cousin's computer and collected 1500 songs on it before buying my own. I transferred my cd collection using itunes (on my new computer) but i wanted to retrieve all the songs that were still on my cousin's computer.
i tried to install the software to my cousin's but in the process it wiped out everything that i already downloaded on my ipod. itunes won't let me combine the library collection and i don't know if there is a way to get around this problem so i don't have to burn all the music onto discs and painfully sit for 2 months straight and transfer it back onto my computer.

You can use your iPod as an external hard drive to transfer the tunes from your Cousin's box to your new box.

Find out how here. ( http://www.ipodlounge.com/articles_more.php?id=5029_0_8_0_M)

Welcome to the lounge. To use the iPod on both and transfer the music via iPod:
-connect the iPod to your computer,
-when it shows in the source list in iTunes,
-right click on it and
-select "iPod Options"
-click on "manually manage songs and playlists"
-then click 'ok' to close.

After that, connect it to your cousins computer and drag-n-drop the songs onto the iPod. You can not auto sync the iPod after this to your computer because it will erase all of the new songs off of the iPod.

To Transfer Songs Back To Your Computer and add them to your library
If you want to add the songs to your iTunes library, you will need to transfer the songs back to your computer: (http://www.ipodsoft.com/ipodagent.aspx) and you can see this article (http://www.ipodlounge.com/article_more.php?id=5090_0_8_0_M).
