The Click Wheel

Does the iPod's Click Wheel actually get scratched? I mean I just bought a new iPod and an iSkin and know it doesnt cover the wheel but does the wheel still scratch? if it does where can i get like those ipod condom things to protect it or have some sort of protection on it/

If you drop it, it'll get scratched, lol. But it won't get scratched like the back or the screen.

The main reason why people want a cover for their click wheel is not to protect it from scratches, but to prevent it from getting grimy and dirty.

As for how to protect with an iskin, you could try to find something like the plastic sealing that it originally came with or you could always purchase another case.

I've heard that the older ipods did not have a plastic sealing over them, but I'm pretty sure all the new ones do. It isn't really a cover, it's just like one of those plastic sealings that are put on screens, like cell phones for example. Too bad Apple didn't put one on the ipod's screen. Oh well, that's what cases are for I guess!

PDA screen protector cut to size over the whole wheel. ie I didn't cut the screen protector to shape I left it square and put it over the entire click wheel. Works great. I had some really thin ones and it's hard tell their on there.

Honestly, I dont remember mines coming with a plastic slip covering the wheel. All I got was the whole big plastic sheet folded around the entire thing.
