Please Help!
I just got my 05 Mini Cooper S with Nav System. Love the wheels. My dealer just told me due to the Nav system I am unable to get the iPod connector cable and use the iPod which chaps my you know what, because they told me it would work when I got the car... Is there validity to this? I am really bumbed. What will work at this point. Have the bluetooth hands free kit also installed for my Motorola v600 but was really bucking on the iPod connectivity. What are my options? Anticipating a valid response. Please help. Thanks, Joe

# 1 Re: Please Help!
Have them install the auxilliary input. It is clearly listed on their website ($40) and the option does not get removed on any of the options I tried (Nav, changing the stereo options, etc). Other options are removed if they don't match up.

Not the Ipod interface, the aux input as shown on the mini website. It is just a 1/8" mini jack.
If they don't know, show them the site. If still nothing, call another dealership.

otherwise use one of the input options out there that use the cd stacker in - line, such as aux-pod, neo ion, or icelink

Even with the aux. input as on their site I was told the Nav. prohibits its successful functionality. I still think I am going to call another dealer though. Meanwhile, I should, bottom line, explore the other solutions instead, feel like I am getting the jerk around... Last night I had sent an email to Dension to inquire about compatibility since it was not specifically listed on their site for a MINI Cooper S. Will post their reply for the benefit of the lounge. Appreciated guys. Thanks, Joe
